We have been busy taking the Stanford 10 Achievement test this week. We have one more test to take on Tuesday, May 23rd. Please have your child well rested for this test.
The students have been working hard on their All-about books. The students had to pick a community worker and research what that person does, what tools they use and how they help a community. They then had to write and illustrate a book about their topic. We will have writing celebration next Thursday, May 25. If you would like to send in some store bought cookies by Wednesday, that would be greatly appreciated.
Our classroom is still in need of gallon sized Ziploc bags. If you could send a box in that would be wonderful. The students bring their Book Kids books in them each night and they do need to be replaced often.
The end of the school year is fast approaching and we have some events that you need to be aware of. We will be going to Bailey’s Forest with our pen pals from Woodbury on Tues., May 30th. Bailey’s Forest is a nature center that is part of the Woodbury school district. Please sign and have your child return their field trip slip if they have not done so. On Thurs., June 1st, we are going to Gibbs Farm. Look for that permission slip next week. Other days of note:
Please call if you have any questions or concerns.
